Small steps, wonderful possibilities
Their curiosity is my starting point
Children learn through meaningful play, exploration and everyday experiences. I plan activities around children’s interests and developmental needs, providing opportunities to practise skills, discover new things and build confidence.

Little interests lead the way
I follow each child’s interests, curiosity and individual stage of development, using what they are interested in to plan meaningful play, learning and experiences. Children are encouraged to explore, make choices and lead their learning through their own interests and curiosity.
I observe children’s interests and development and use this information to plan suitable experiences and next steps. An interest in leaves might lead to a nature walk, a story or something to create back indoors.
